OOTD 4/20/2012 - Fashion On A Budget

Sure you can!  Be fashionable, that is, without spending a fortune.  Today's outfit is proof positive!

Here's the run-down:
-Target Chambray Shirt   $9
-Old Navy Sweater   $15
-J Crew Bubble Necklace via Ebay  $15
-American Eagle Jeans $30

Under $70 without the shoes.  (which by the way, are old Ann Taylor Loft).  Sometimes we have this mindset that we have to spend a mint in order to be fashionable, but with so many great retailers out there, that's just not the case.  Target and Old Navy are both great options for on trend but yet affordable attire.  Have you shopped either of these retailers recently?  What other stores offer fashionable and affordable clothing/accessories?

I hope everyone has a blessed Friday and a wonderful weekend!

  1. Absolutely! Your outfit is fantastic. I love finding amazing deals (EBAY is prime) for "vintage" JCREW finds, etc. For me, I find if I spend a ton of money on something, I tend to wear it one time and forget about it. My prized possessions in the closet are the ones I found on sale or knew it was not what OTHERS were going to adore...Happy weekend.

    1. I've gotten two...the turquoise and this orange one. I haven't actually seen a real one to compare but for the price ($15), I'm pleased with the quality.

  3. I totally agree - I frequent Target and Old Navy a lot. We also recently got an H&M which is quickly becoming a favorite.

  4. I struggle back and forth, with buying inexpensive and having it not last (a couple of sweaters from Target come to mind) and buying expensive and and feeling like i was a sucker to advertising. :-) Laura

    1. No, both of mine came from China...I have the turquoise and the orange one (each from different sellers). I haven't actually seen a real one to compare but for the price ($15), I'm pleased with the quality. I've gotten so many compliments every time I wear them...no body is the wiser! ;o)
