Sure you can! Be fashionable, that is, without spending a fortune. Today's outfit is proof positive!
Here's the run-down:
-Target Chambray Shirt $9
-Old Navy Sweater $15
-J Crew Bubble Necklace via Ebay $15
-American Eagle Jeans $30
Under $70 without the shoes. (which by the way, are old Ann Taylor Loft). Sometimes we have this mindset that we have to spend a mint in order to be fashionable, but with so many great retailers out there, that's just not the case. Target and Old Navy are both great options for on trend but yet affordable attire. Have you shopped either of these retailers recently? What other stores offer fashionable and affordable clothing/accessories?
I hope everyone has a blessed Friday and a wonderful weekend!
Absolutely! Your outfit is fantastic. I love finding amazing deals (EBAY is prime) for "vintage" JCREW finds, etc. For me, I find if I spend a ton of money on something, I tend to wear it one time and forget about it. My prized possessions in the closet are the ones I found on sale or knew it was not what OTHERS were going to adore...Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, love ebay! I'm constantly trolling around out there to see what I can find. :o)
DeleteCute outfit. How is the ebay bubble necklace? I was going to order, but wonder about quality.
ReplyDeleteI've gotten two...the turquoise and this orange one. I haven't actually seen a real one to compare but for the price ($15), I'm pleased with the quality.
DeleteI totally agree - I frequent Target and Old Navy a lot. We also recently got an H&M which is quickly becoming a favorite.
ReplyDeleteThe closest H&M is about an hour and a half away. I've been one time...and I totally agree, lots of great finds!
DeleteI struggle back and forth, with buying inexpensive and having it not last (a couple of sweaters from Target come to mind) and buying expensive and and feeling like i was a sucker to advertising. :-) Laura
ReplyDeleteI'm equal opportunity...I like both pricey and inexpensive! :o) and I'm a total sucker for advertising...my husband tells me all of the time that I get sucked in by the packaging!
Deletevery cute outfit and it does not look like $70!
ReplyDeletehave a great weekend!
Thanks so much, Ina! Hope your weekend is fabulous!
DeleteI saw tons of Bubble necklaces on ebay, but they ship from Hong kong, is yours a a real JC one? if not how is the quality of yours?
ReplyDeleteTx
No, both of mine came from China...I have the turquoise and the orange one (each from different sellers). I haven't actually seen a real one to compare but for the price ($15), I'm pleased with the quality. I've gotten so many compliments every time I wear them...no body is the wiser! ;o)
DeleteYou look like a million! You style great and doesn't look like $70 at all! I love finding great look-alike with nicer price tags too!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Thanks a bunch! Isn't that the best when you can find a deal or a less expensive stand-in?! That way we can shop even more! :D
DeleteCould not agree more, you did it! Looks great.
ReplyDeleteThanks Slastena! I have gotten so much wear from both the sweater and the chambray shirt. Way more than some of the things that I've paid so, so much more for...Go figure! :o)
DeleteHi! Just bloghopping by and thought that I'd say hello and follow your blog!
ReplyDeleteI really love the Old Navy sweater. I just don't get it...I never find stuff like that whenever I go there! Great outfit.
