OOTD 9/24/2010 and the answer to the question, "Why God Made Little Boys?"

So, today I popped into my J Crew store and picked up the Moss Tweed Pencil Skirt...with my red card, of course.  I got it for $88.50...that's a savings of $29.50...cha-ching!!  Now, if I can just get the weather to cooperate (ie...cool-down), so that I can wear it.  The colors in this skirt are gorgeous...blues, purples and greens!  If you haven't seen it IRL, you need to check it out...the pictures don't do it justice.

As for the OOTD, I was really pleased with the way this outfit turned out.  The colors "played nice together" and I received several compliments on my new ATL cardi.  FYI...if you're interested in this cardigan, you might want to consider sizing up.  I could wear my normal size S but decided there may be an occasion when I'd like to button it and sized up to the M.

Now, for the answer to the question of why God made little boys.  Any of you who have little boys know that they are a "different animal" that full of spirit sometimes does not describe.  I intended to post this poem yesterday along with the picture of my son and forgot...oops...but hopefully, you can enjoy it today.  I love this poem and how it puts into words the essence of our sweet, rambunctious little boys.

God made the world out of His dreams
Of magic mountains, oceans and streams,
Prairies and plans and wooded land,
Then paused and thought "I need someone to stand
On top of mountains, to conquer the seas,
Explore the plains and climb the trees.
Someone to start out small and to grow,
Sturdy, strong as a tree…" And so,
He created boys, full of spirit and fun,
To explore and conquer, to romp and run.
With dirty faces and banged up chins,
With courageous hearts and boyish grins.
When He had completed the task He'd begun
He surely said "A job well done".

  2. Oh my gosh, you didn't get a red card?! I thought everybody (card holders) got one. Funny story...yesterday, I asked my friend at work, "Did you get your red card?" She said, "no, when did that come?" My reply, "yesterday" She said, "I bet my husband threw that away" Sure enough, she went home and dug it out of the trash. He and I would have a pow-wow. :o)
