OOTD 2/1/2012- Here Kitty, Kitty...

Love today's outfit with the wildcat natasha and the maraschino cherry cafe capris.  The fit is great on these pants, very flattering...wish I'd gotten other colors.

Speaking of great red things, I threw a tube of Poppy King lipstick into one of my most recent orders.  I have searched high and low over the years for a good shade of red lipstick, mostly to no avail.  Poppy King, I'm happy to say, fits the bill.  I also like that depending on how heavy a hand you use, you can vary the shade from sheer to full on color.

Have you tried J Crew's Poppy King?  If so, what do you think?

  2. More scary coincidence ... after hearing so much about Poppy King, I also ordered one in a recent order, sight unseen! I love the cherry cafe capris, such a beautiful color and agree they fit great.

  3. You look lovely as usual!

I rec'd the lipstick this week and have worn it sheer. Hoping to get a tad bit bolder in the summer, and wear it a smidge heavier, but not too dark. Ooh, unless I'm wearing an awesome pair of sunglasses, with my hair up and am feeling ultra-pretty; then I will apply it heavier and act like I am all that. :)
    Like a JCrew model.. mwah!

All kidding aside, I would like to find something to plump my lips a bit before applying Poppy King.

    1. Thanks JV!
I'm working my way up too. I'm used to wearing neutral shades, so this is new to me too.
Oh yes, I can see you now...everybody will be whispering,"Who is that girl?" "With those lips, she must be somebody!" :o)
If you find a good plumper, let me know...I have major chicken lips!

  4. I like the cut/fit of the cafe capris as well, but the wool was too rough for me. I did pick up the cotton spring version though, which is equally fabulous (without the itch).
