OOTD 10/06/2011

How often do you still love an item just as much two years later as you did the day you bought it?

Well for me, not very often.  Typically, my love fades.  (I'm strictly talking clothes here.  I've been married to hubs for twenty years and the love is still going strong.  Just wanted to make that clear.  :o))  Anyway, my flame for my check shirt (or as my co-workers call it, my tablecloth shirt...whata group) is still burning strong. I just love this guy!  Today, I paired it with my new No. 2 pencil skirt in heather acorn.  I believe this skirt will be a great staple item in my wardrobe and frankly an area where my closet was lacking. (no camel skirt...gasp)  I added the Velvet Eden Blazer in Iris (Deep purple) and my tortoise Cole Haan pumps.  A perfect fall outfit!

  4. Megan Joy...I read your post...boy, does it ring true. Recently, I've been trying to be a bit more selective, only buying those things that I love or that fill a void in my wardrobe. (such as the heather acorn pencil skirt.) Thanks for sharing!

ina...Thanks a bunch! Is your elephant necklace bringing good luck your way? :o)
