OOTD 2/21/2012 and AE Colored Skinnys

First of all, a couple ootd's.....

Everywhere you look these days, you see colored denim....so I figured I needed to jump on the band wagon.  The issue for me...J Crew's matchstick is more akin to a boyfriend fit on my "boy-like" (no hips, no butt, chicken legs) figure than a skinny jean.  So, I was super excited to run across these at American Eagle...hopefully, the fit will be like my other AE skinny jeans and they were super cheap.  ($33 with free shipping)  I could get three pairs of these for the same price as one pair of the J Crew matchstick jeans.

I got them in Yellow Zest and Poppy Orange...I would have gotten Pink Dust but it was already sold out on-line in my size.  When they arrive, if they're a hit, I may have to see if I can find the pink ones in-store.  Have you girls jumped on the colored denim train?  Or are you going to pass on this trend?

    I don't know why but I am not feeling the colored denim trend at all. I guess it just isn't "me"! I do love your OOTDs, though. Those yacht blue capris are lovely on you!

      I may get them and totally hate them...we'll see. I would never have thought in a million years you would catch me in a pair of jeggings, but I'm sporting them. :o)
      BTW...I got a black skirt in the mail today! It's perfect!

    Girl! You look great in the blue pants. I tried some on yesterday and today, and could not commit. I wish I could wear AE denim, but baby got back, and the rise is too low on this mom of four. :)

      Thanks lady! I'm wearing these same pants tomorrow in red. Hey, when you find a good thing...buy multiples! :o) That's one thing I don't have...no back! It's a sad story! :oP

    You know I love the colored denim trend. :) I just scooped up a white pair of skinnies from AE as well - not exactly colored, but they were much less expensive than JC's skinnies. :)

      Sky...I am one of the most technically challenged people ever! HTML coding...huh? I couldn't if I wanted too. That was a nice little feature that Blogger added sometime around the beginning of January.
