And third, check out my new purse.  I first saw it in a polyvore set (thanks turquoise22 ) and immediately knew that I needed it.  I'm really not a "handbag" person...I mean, don't get me wrong, I like a nice purse but as far as switching them out to go with different outfits, etc...not so much.  I think it was God's way of saving me from myself...He knew that I already had enough trouble with my obsessive love for shoes and clothes.  He had mercy on me and didn't burden me with a passion for purses too.  :o)

I have been carrying the large Coach Hampton Signature CarryAll for years.  Needless to say, it's showing some wear...so I was due for a new purse but I just hadn't found anything that I liked as well as my beat up Coach bag.  Until I layed eyes on this Fossil bag....it's beautiful soft brown leather and gorgeous calf-hair.  My long-time readers know that I have a strong affinity for animal print.  and it's big...I can get all of my "stuff" in it and more.  What do you think?  Pretty?

OOTD 2/24/2012 - Mr. No Name

I don't want to hit you with whining right off the bat, so I'll start with the good.  A cute outfit with my zebra friend.  I'm not sure why but I feel the need to name him.  So, if you have any ideas, please share...I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Now...let the whining begin!  Where are all of the polka dots in the new roll-out?  No polka-dot sweater...No polka-dot dress...these were the two things that I was pumped to try.  At first I was a little bummed when I read ajc's review of the sweater.  She mentioned that it was very sheer.  However, after I reconciled myself to the fact that I would have to do some layering and created some super cute pv sets, I was excited all over again.  And then...cricket, cricket....nothing!  No polka-dots to be found!  Does anybody know what that's all about?

Another positve to mention...I did notice that the Factory has a new sweater called the Thandie.  It looks very much like the retail Tippi.

OOTD 2/23/2012 - Pop O Pink

I'm so excited...I got an invitation from my ps for a private shopping event to peruse the new arrivals.  It's today from 2:00 until 6:00.  How will I ever be able to concentrate on my work today?!

Can't wait to check out all of the beautiful new prints, dots and colors....Eeeekkk!

Speaking of color, today I paired neutrals with a pop of pink.  The classic tippi and scout chino topped with my beloved Gap sweater blazer and all tied together with a bright fushia belt....KaPOW!!!

OOTD 2/22/2012 - Checks and Cherry

You've heard me say it before...and I'm not the only one who has said it....many of my other JCA compadres share my same compulsion to buy in multiples when they find a good thing.  Instyle magazine named it was one of their Best 50 Fashion Tips of All Time...Think In Multiples. 

So that's exactly what I did with J Crew's Wool Cafe Capris. (I now have maraschino cherry, yacht blue and the houndstooth wool tweed, as well.  :o))  Hey, when you find something with a flattering fit...go for it!

Everywhere you look these days, you see colored denim....so I figured I needed to jump on the band wagon.  The issue for me...J Crew's matchstick is more akin to a boyfriend fit on my "boy-like" (no hips, no butt, chicken legs) figure than a skinny jean.  So, I was super excited to run across these at American Eagle...hopefully, the fit will be like my other AE skinny jeans and they were super cheap.  ($33 with free shipping)  I could get three pairs of these for the same price as one pair of the J Crew matchstick jeans.

I got them in Yellow Zest and Poppy Orange...I would have gotten Pink Dust but it was already sold out on-line in my size.  When they arrive, if they're a hit, I may have to see if I can find the pink ones in-store.  Have you girls jumped on the colored denim train?  Or are you going to pass on this trend?

OOTD 2/10/2012 - Pattern Mix

Well, I knew when I put this together that I was asking for abuse and ridicule and they didn't let me down.  Oh well, I liked it and that's really all that matters.

I wore one of my favorite sweaters of all time, the spotted cat cardigan.  It's hard to tell from the pics, but the spots are dark chocolate brown.  I paired it with my new red gingham perfect shirt.

I ordered this shirt a month or so ago and it finally shipped.  I tried it in both a 4 and a 6...as usual with the perfect shirts, I decided to go with the 6.  It afforded me some extra room through the shoulders and chest...don't want any pulling and gaping across the boobs.

OOTD 2/9/2012 - It's A Zoo Around Here

Guess who came to work with me today...Mr. Zebra!!

He is adorable and seems to be very well made.  I never saw the original retail version but there is alot of beading and sequin detail in this tee.  It's running to the small side of tts...but I still took my normal S.

Also, my frog bracelet arrived.  Hmmm, I'm on the fence about this little guy.  I like the somewhat "tortoisey" look of the links but I'm not sure about little mr. ribbit himself...he comes off as a little "cheapy" to me.  For me, he's a return....But if the price drops to about half of its current $68, I might be back in the game.
