OOTD 7/26/2012 - Primary Colors

Land's End Canvas End on End Blue Shirt
J Crew No.2 Pencil Skirt in Eyelet - Chili
J Crew Factory Layered Bright Bead Necklace
Ann Taylor Loft Irene Midheels

Today's outfit was inspired by this J Crew catalog look:

I didn't have the yellow heels, so I brought the yellow in with the necklace and went with neutral shoes.  As for the necklace, I think I'm going to remove the fourth and shortest strand...I think it will make the necklace more wearable.

  1. I love the way you place the statement necklaces over the perfect shirts. Sadly , the perfect shirt is not a great fit on me. The yellow adds just the right amount of contrast, and I see what you mean about that shorter strand. Another great OOTD!

    1. I actually picked this shirt up from Land's End (Canvas line) for $8. The fit is not as tapered as J Crew...a little more boxy, so to speak....but for that price, I'm not complaining. :o)
BTW, I have "doctored" on my necklace and removed the shorter strand. I left myself the option of adding it back if I so choose, but I think what I have now will be better.

  2. I love it! I don't have this necklace, but I will think something to pair my skirt with! Do you believe I didn't wear mine yet?! I have to do it soon!
    So pretty on you!

    1. Thanks Jeannie! I saw another outfit at my local factory store with a red jacket and yellow necklace. It was so cute...definitely going to have to re-create that one too!
