Review: J Crew Factory Slim-Stripe Tunic Dress

It's hard for me to talk bad about my beloved stripes, but this dress did me no favors.
Let's start with the positive...it won't take long.
It's made of 100% cotton and fits tts. (I'm wearing my normal S)  The fit on top was good...the arms are somewhat fitted, so if you have muscular arms that might be an issue.

The negatives:
For me, it's too short and the fit did nothing to flatter my figure.  Also, it has the little slits on both sides...don't like that either.

Have you tried this dress?  If so, what were your thoughts?

  1. Thank you very much for the review! I was wondering about it, but I can see that it would probably be too short on me as well.

    1. Hi Louise...for reference, I'm 5'5 1/2". Hope that helps!

  2. I bought this dress and it did me no favors either. The stripes accentuated my widest part of my body and made me look boxy. I've been meaning to try to re-sell it. It looks like the striped Maritime, but it fits very differently. I didn't even think it fit TTS, it was small on me, unless maybe it was meant to be a fitted dress? I thought I might try it with jeans and a belt, but maybe I should just get rid of it.

    1. So its not just me. I agree, I thought the top was somewhat fitted but in the waist there was no tapering at all, so it just hangs there. Nope, a girl doesn't need help like this!

  3. I didn't try it. I haven't even noticed it on the site. I like the shapeless shift style, for me, sometimes. However Old Navy had the same thing and it went down to like $10. So that's where I got mine. lol
