    1. I agree, the domino jacquard is fabulous! Now, that would be a good print to bring back! Yoohoo, J Crew? are you listening?

  3. Love your blog, you have such great style! I just bought a J Crew Bella coat in size 6. I now have my eye on a Robert Noble blazer, would you say the sizing on the Robert Noble wool jacket is the same fit as the Bella? I noticed on your posts, you have the Robert Noble jacket in a size 4 and the Bella blazer in a 6. Thank you so much!

    1. I have two Robert Noble blazers and both are size 4, which is also my normal size for the more recent schoolboy blazer. So I would say the sizing and fit is comparable to today's blazers. I only have one bella and it is a size 6. (and it's actually ever so slightly big on me)...so again, even though I don't have a size 4 bella to compare it to, I think a 4 would probably be my perfect size in bella as well. (making their sizing similar) I do think that the Robert Noble is a tad shorter than the bella. Hope all of this "rambling" helps! :o)

  4. Also, how is the fit on the J Crew Eden velvet blazer? Not sure if I should go with the 4 or 6.

    1. I probably shouldn't even admit this...but, can you believe that I've had the red jacket hanging in the closet for a year now? Just took the tags off this morning. Really, that should be a crime!

    1. See, I knew it! I thought I heard someone screaming this afternoon! :o) Aren't they fantastic?! Hopefully, the 4 was the right fit for you? Yes?

    2. Yes, it was me...screaming!!! :o) The size 4 was PERFECT! I wish JC cafe capri in wool was as great as the Skimmer, don't you?! I'm trying again...ordered it (cafe capri in wool) in modern red, hopefully it will fit better than the retro jade :P

    3. Fingers crossed the modern red will work out better. hopefully, you just got a missized pair in the jade.

  8. Both outfits are beautiful. As usual, your style is so cute and inspirational. I have that red blazer and will now be hunting for black and white polka dotted items to pair with it. So cute!!

  9. Adorable! Can I ask you about the domino skirt? Do you think it's TTS or does it run small? The only other pencil skirt I have is the porcelain paisley in a 4 and I'm wondering what size to be on the lookout for in the domino if it ever crops up. Thanks!

    1. The porcelain paisley...one of the few J Crew pencil skirts that I don't have. :o)
I'm a pencil skirt-a-holic, but I digress. I would say that the domino jacquard runs a touch small compared to today's pencil skirts. I typically wear a 4 in today's J Crew's pencil skirts. I measured the waist of a couple of my pencil skirts and here is what I came up with:
      Domino (size 6)...15.5 inches
Deck Stripe -size 4 (from summer 2012) 15.25 inches
Hope this helps! and I hope your search is successful! :o)

    1. Thanks! This skirt is the most gorgeous shade of blue...somewhere between blue and purple. Very striking!
