Even though this is a fashion blog...well, this is just too cute not to share.
About a month or two ago, we had an owl nest in one of our trees. Yesterday while we were out and about, we looked up and noticed a little face peeking back at us. Mom had flown away to a neighboring tree, so I guess he thought he'd have a "look-see." What a cutie! He's about eight inches tall. and look at those fluffy, downy baby feathers.
In light of the fact that I have a strong affinity (translated obsession) for shoes, I've named him Oxford.
So let me introduce you to little Oxford the owl....
And finally a picture of mom....
Awww!!! I am so jealous; I love owls. How cool that they live right in your yard. Oxford is freaking adorable!
ReplyDeleteAw, baby-anything is cute! Oxford is adorable!
ReplyDeleteBaby Oxford is adorable. I love owls too and you're so lucky to have these in your own backyard!
ReplyDeleteEek! The owl pics made my day! Love!
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies! I told you little Oxford was a cutie! Just one of the benefits of living in the boonies! :o)
ReplyDeleteHopefully, I can catch some more Oxford moments and post some updates.
I LOVE your outfit. Don't think I've ever seen an owl!
ReplyDeleteMiss Janice, me either. But I can now add that to my list! We see all kinds of critters out here in the country...deer, turkeys, skunks, we have a groundhog that lives in under one of the barns...and now an owl! :o)
DeleteThats amazing. I LOVE birds. I wish we would have something like here. Neat pictures too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Debra! Hubs said he saw him again last night and he was out of the nest in another tree....so, hopefully I can post some Oxford updates!
ReplyDeletethat skirt is gorgeous! i have the same one in tan and didn't realize it came in other colors (i found mine at the goodwill). and what a cute story about the owl, that would definitely be something to see!
ReplyDeleteHey Heidi! I had the tan one too but had to get rid of it because it didn't fit anymore. :o( I got this orange one through a goodwill auction on ebay...lots of good stuff via goodwill! :o)
DeleteOxford is so cute! I'm hoping I can capture some more glimpses of him. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment!
