Oh, the weather outside is frightful....

...but the fire is so delightful, and since we've no place to go, Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!  Now for some of you northern or mountain girls, it's no big deal, but we get maybe one or two snows a year, if that...and never in December.  So, needless to say, everybody is very excited!  It's so pretty the way it's blanketing the grass and trees...I love it!  Even better, I'm watching it while sitting in front of the fire with a cup of hot chocolate!  Watching the snow, ordering J Crew (30% off) and playing on polyvore...the perfect day!

And here's an old ootd that I've neglected to post...I think it goes back to Thanksgiving.
J Crew Snowflake Tee
J Crew Arrow Sweater in Heather Caramel

  1. How exciting! You are in Greensboro, right? Or is is Raleigh? I know everyone is loving this down there! We got about 3-4 inches, and right now sleet and freezing rain is making a nice icy, slick layer over the snow. There is just something about the first snow of the season that makes me all giddy inside. It's made me completely forget the angst I felt toward the snow in April of this year, when after 3-4 months we still hadn't seen any ground...

  2. I work in Greensboro, but I actually live in Burlington. (about 45 min. east of G'boro) We got between 2-3 inches here. It's perfect...everything is layered in snow but the roads are clear. Yep, this is just the beginning for you guys...old man winter is "gearing up"! :o)

  3. Yay for the snow!! We haven't had any yet up here, which is unusual, but I'm sure it's coming! Btw, I alwasy think of you when I wear those Sperry boots, and they always garner compliments. They would be perfect in the snow....just sayin' :) Enjoy!!

  4. See it's backwards! Nevertheless, today was a good day...we thoroughly enjoyed the snow! And you are so right, the boots would have been perfect! We went to get our Christmas tree today...how cute would those have been at the tree farm?! I ponder them every time you post a set with them...hmmmm, maybe I still need to track down a pair...you enabler, you! :o)

  5. The view from you window is so beautiful!!! All I would need is a hot cup of tea or hot chocolate and I could look at the snow falling all day as long as I didn't have to drive in it. I want that arrow cardigan for no other reason than to wear on a snowy, cold day. It looks so good on everyone I see it on. Have a wonderful weekend decorating your tree.

  6. Thanks Patina...I passed by the doorway and thought, That's too pretty not to share! :o) Ditto here about driving in the snow...plus we usually just get ice...yuck! That and the fact that I've had an accident while driving on icy roads (while I was six months pregnant)...I prefer not to do it if I can help it! Have a great day!
