Actually, I'm not...feelin' blue, that is.  I love this outfit in all of its blue/green glory.  This perfect shirt is the "perfect" color compliment to the casbah skirt.  and the misty aqua is on sale in-stores for $39.  (still selling for $69.50 on-line)

Also, while strolling through Target the other day, I ran across these super cute espadrilles. They are $17 and fit tts.  This is the pink/orangey-red combo but they are also available in a blue combo as well.

Sometimes I get hung-up on "the latest and the greatest" and I forget that classic and simple is still good too!  Today's outfit is proof positive of that point...jeans, classic white shirt and colorful sandals.  Even better, you probably already have these things just waiting in your closet.

By the way, if you're interested in the monogram necklace, check out ElizajayCharm via Etsy.  I had been looking for one of these necklaces but wasn't willing to drop $80 - $100 and then I spotted one on the lovely Lisa.  (see her here)  Love it and I have a tortoise one on order...both for less than the cost of one from other sellers.  An added bonus, it comes nicely packaged and ready for gift-giving.

OOTD 5/3/2012 - Some Of My Favorite Things

Today is an outfit of favorites...I love the tippi, the new cafe capris and the viv flats. (I have multiples of them all.  :o))

The tippi is a classically styled sweater that can go from the office to an evening out.  This one is linen but the wool ones are equally as fabulous.

The new cafe capris have an updated silhouette with a more tapered leg than its predecessor, the classic cafe capri.  I had to size down in these.  Caveat...I have no butt or hips to speak of, so if you have that sort of figure, you might want to consider sizing down.  They tend to stretch out and I didn't want a saggy, baggy bum! 

And the vivs....Gorgeous in every way!  I love the pointed toe...it lends a classic but yet modern feel to these adorable, go with anything flats.

So, there you have it...just a FEW of my favorite things.

Review: Factory Mirabel Dress

If you missed out on last year's retail version, you have another shot this year with the Crewlet version.

I loved this dress and I think it can easily be dressed up or down.  I'm thinking if I belt it and add a pair of heels, I can get away with wearing it to work.

The background is faded black (or charcoal) and it is embroidered in a beige floral.  The fit is tts to a touch big....I normally wear a 6 in J Crew dresses but opted for the 4 in this one.  Also, I am 5' 5 1/2" and this dress hit two or three inches above my knee.

The factory mirabel is made of cotton, is fully lined and it has POCKETS. (Love that!) In-store they were offering a 30% off dresses promo.

So, what are your thoughts on the mirabel?

Today's outfit is nice and cheery and incorporates my much-loved seersucker skirt.  This is the J Crew factory version.  See my review here.

Also at the factory store, they are now offering a pair of seersucker shorts...Yes, please!

They are blue and white seersucker with a 5 inch inseam.  The fit is tts. (These are my normal size 4)  They also came in yellow/white, as well as, a pink/white combo with embroidered dragonflies.  They are $49.50 and my store was running a 25% off shorts promo.

How about you...Are you a sucker for seersucker?
